FAQ for Care Seekers

IMPORTANT: If you are experiencing severe dizziness symptoms or believe you have a medical emergency, please seek immediate medical attention or call emergency services. Do not rely on email or website communication for urgent medical concerns.

  • Dizzy Care Network is a platform that matches care-seekers experiencing dizziness with appropriate clinicians based on their specific medical symptoms and the clinician’s area of expertise. Our validated report is sent to the clinician in advance of your match so they can confirm they have the skills and capabilities best suited for your history and symptoms. Our goal is to help you connect with the right specialist who can address your needs most effectively so you can focus on what’s most important–your health!

  • If you experience any of the following symptoms or conditions related to your dizziness, it is essential to seek immediate medical attention and not use the Dizzy Care Network:

    • Change in mental status, such as confusion
    • Slurred speech
    • Stumbling or difficulty walking
    • Numbness or paralysis of the arms, legs, or face
    • Double vision
    • Sudden change in hearing
    • Seizures
    • Fever
    • Severe vomiting
    • Chest pain
    • Shortness of breath
    • Palpitations or a rapid/irregular heartbeat
    • Loss of consciousness
    • Recent history of head trauma
  • Our advanced AI algorithm developed at Mayo Clinic first matches your reported symptoms and medical history with the expertise of clinicians in our network. We focus on factors like the clinician’s specific experience with similar cases and the feedback they’ve received from other care-seekers. This ensures that the clinicians we suggest have the expertise tailored to your medical needs.

After this primary match, we then provide you with a list of these best-matched clinicians. You can further refine this list based on your personal preferences such as geographical proximity, availability for appointments, and insurance compatibility. This ensures that not only is the clinician highly qualified for your needs, but they also fit your personal and logistical requirements.

  • Yes! Both the care-seekers and clinicians have to agree to set up an appointment in a “double-match” process. The algorithm matches your symptoms and location to a pool of qualified clinicians. Care-seekers can then filter the clinicians based on location, credentials, experience, ratings, and their next appointment availability.

  • Yes, clinicians pay to receive the full report including contact information once you have selected them to proceed with an appointment. We have a care-seeker-first approach and there is no way for clinicians to pay to improve their ranking or influence the matching algorithm.

  • No, the referral fee paid by the clinicians does not influence their chances of being recommended to you. Our algorithm operates independently of these fees and prioritizes matching you with the clinician who is best suited to your medical needs. Clinicians cannot pay to boost their rankings or to be recommended more frequently.

  • Our network is open to all qualified healthcare providers specializing in vestibular healthcare, such as Otolaryngologists, Neurologists, Physical Therapists, Audiologists, and Psychiatrists. Clinicians can be disqualified from our network for reasons such as a lapse in license, malpractice, or any action that violates our terms of service.

  • Absolutely not. At Dizzy Care Network, we highly respect your privacy. Your email and other personal information will not be shared or sold to any third parties outside our service. We adhere strictly to HIPAA guidelines and our own privacy policy, ensuring your data remains confidential and secure.
