What is the difference between matches & direct registrations?

Dizzy Care Network gives clinicians two ways to connect with patients: the matching service and direct registrations. Both options help patients complete a health profile before care begins, but they are designed for different starting points in the patient journey.

The matching service is for patients who are looking for help but may not know which clinician is the best fit for their symptoms. These patients complete the Dizzy Care Network questionnaire, and the system uses their symptoms, history, location, and care needs to help identify clinicians who may be a strong match. The goal is to reduce the time patients spend searching on their own and help them find care that is more relevant to their dizziness concerns.

Direct registrations are different. Each clinician receives a unique clinician-specific link that can be shared with patients who already want to connect with that clinician. This link can be placed on a website, shared by email, included in referral materials, or sent directly to a patient. When the patient uses the link, they complete the Dizzy Care Network health profile before their visit or intake process. This gives the clinician more information earlier, helping them better understand the patient’s symptoms, history, and needs.

In simple terms, the matching service helps patients find the right clinician, while direct registrations help a specific clinician collect better information from patients who are already coming to them.

Both tools can support a clinician’s workflow. The matching service can help introduce new patients who are actively looking for dizziness care. Direct registrations can help organize incoming patients, improve pre-visit preparation, and create a smoother intake process.
