Managing your dizziness symptoms alone can be very hard. It is important to create a support network, like family, friends, support groups, caregivers, and clinicians. You can also use your phone as a tool to help you with your dizziness symptoms. There are many different apps that cater to various dizziness conditions or more general medical issues.
The list below has been researched and compiled to help you with your health journey. We have not tested any of these apps, but we recommend trying any that you think could help you. If you know of any other apps that are not listed but that you have found helpful, please contact our support team.

Balance: Vestibular Diary
This app is designed for people with inner ear conditions such as vestibular migraine or Ménière’s disease. It helps users to track dizziness episodes, symptoms, and potential or known triggers. The app also automatically records barometric pressure and weather before, during, and after all episodes. It creates charts that can show users how their episodes may relate to pressure changes or specific triggers. Users can also export their data as a CSV or one-page PDF summary to send to their clinician or bring with them to appointments.

Vertige
Vertige is a tracking app designed to help users log dizziness episodes and search for possible triggers. Users can track episode length and severity, as well as habits such as food, stress, screen time, movement, and factors like weather, medications, and menstrual cycle. The app creates weekly and month-at-a-glance reports that users can download and share with their clinicians. While this app is currently only on iOS, they are testing the Android version and it should be released soon.

Steady Path: Vertigo Tracker
Steady Path is a tracking app designed to help users log vertigo episodes, symptoms, and possible triggers over time. The app also allows users to set reminders to track their symptoms. The app tracks weather and barometric pressure changes as well to help users notice any symptoms related to those.

Track Vertigo Attacks – Verti
This app was designed to help its users log vertigo, Ménière’s, or balance-related episodes. It provides options to track episode severity and duration, as well as symptoms, lifestyle factors, medications, and weather patterns. The app can send medication reminders to keep you on top of your schedule. It also creates a calendar heatmap to help you spot patterns. In terms of privacy, no account is ever needed and the data stays on your device.
Exercise-Focused Apps

Vertigo Coach
The Vertigo Coach app is meant to help care-seekers who have already been diagnosed with a vestibular condition. It adds additional support for care-seekers beyond their relationship with their clinician. The app provides educational articles about vertigo, exercise routines that can help manage symptoms, and alerts or notifications to remind users to take any medications or do any exercise routines.

Vision Therapy: Dizziness/Eye Rehab
This free app provides 10-15 minute guided vision therapy and vestibular exercises as a supplement to the support you should be getting from a clinician. The app is designed to help you reduce dizziness, improve balance, and regain stable vision. You can log your symptoms before and after doing the exercises. The app analyzes your symptoms over time and adjusts your daily exercises accordingly. The app also has an option to share your progress with your healthcare provider via an invite code.

Vertigenius
This vestibular rehabilitation app is designed to be used alongside a clinician who will evaluate the care-seeker and then assign personalized exercises on the app. These exercises often target balance and dizziness and are guided on the app. Besides following their prescribed exercise program, users can track their symptoms and progress over time.

iMAV
This app provides vestibular therapy exercises for people with Migraine Associated Vertigo (MAV). This app should only be used after consulting with a healthcare provider. It includes guided exercises that can be done while sitting, standing, or walking. Users can rate their balance after each activity and track changes over time.
Ménière’s-Specific Apps

Ménière’s Biometrics
This app is designed to help people with Ménière’s disease track hearing changes and other related symptoms over time. With the app, users can perform headphone-based hearing checks, create audiograms, log vertigo episodes and related symptoms or habits, and compare episodes with weather factors. This app is a symptom tracking app for people with Ménière’s disease who suspect they get weather-related symptom flare-ups. Users can track a variety of symptoms as well as lifestyle actions like hydration, sleep, stress, and exercise. The app can alert users of pressure drops and weather, send hydration reminders, and showcase reports to help care-seekers spot patterns to share with their clinician.

Menierly: Ménière’s Toolkit
This app is specifically for people living with and managing Ménière’s disease. Users can calculate sodium per serving, set a daily sodium target, track daily symptoms, log any attacks, record possible triggers, and export data to share with their clinician. The app provides a summary of the users attack history and trends.
Ménière’s Symptom Tracker
This app is designed for people with Ménière’s disease to help them track attacks and look for possible symptom patterns over time. Users can log their daily symptoms, track any habits or triggers, and use automatic barometric pressure tracking to see whether weather changes relate to flare-ups. The app can sync with Apple Health, which allows for certain data to autofill to make the users life simpler. If the user wants, the app will send daily reminders for medications. There is also an option to export a CSV or PDF report to share with a clinician.
BPPV-Specific Apps

BPPV Relief
BPPV Relief is an educational app for learning about common BPPV tests and treatment maneuvers. It uses animations and voice-over instructions to show tests like Dix-Hallpike, Roll Test, and side-lying testing, as well as maneuvers like Epley, BBQ Roll, Gufoni, and quick head turns. This may be helpful for learning what BPPV testing and treatment can look like, but it should not replace care from a trained healthcare provider.

Healing Vertigo App
Healing Vertigo is an interactive BPPV resource with step-by-step videos for common BPPV tests and treatment maneuvers. The app helps users learn about Dix-Hallpike testing, Head Roll testing, and maneuvers such as Epley, BBQ Roll, Gufoni, Semont, and Casani. It may be most useful for people already diagnosed with BPPV who want extra support, but it should not replace evaluation or treatment from a qualified healthcare provider.
